The lead host is responsible for creating and maintaining a charming atmosphere by engaging in the guest experience from beginning to end.  S/he is a gracious hospitalitarian focusing on excellence in service and hospitality for all guests.  This role looks for opportunities to increase awareness for Holeman and Finch Public House by welcoming and developing relationships to ensure lifelong guests.


Duties & Responsibilities:


Leadership Responsibilities

  • Laugh out loud and embrace finesse without formality service.
  • Ensures service and style guidelines through engaging in service, training, and mentoring of all FOH employees, under the direction of the Manager and the Executive Chef.
  • Assist in preparation for line-up and staff meetings.
  • Take and manage reservations in accordance with standards and policies.
  • Model leadership behaviors, core values and adhere to strategic and operational priorities.
  • Share inspiration, knowledge, and ideas with staff.
  • Ensure that the FOH staff understands the established company policies and procedures by providing excellent service and hospitality.
  • Monitoring staff performance and implementing training initiatives.
  • Participate in nightly service; observing and soliciting feedback from staff and guests.
  • Maintain cliental by initiating improvements and building relationships.
  • Stay apprised of events both within Holeman and Finch Public House and around Atlanta.
  • Initiating and participating in community outreach.
  • Books of large parties and events.


Other Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory.
  • Acquire and maintain TIPs and ServSafe certifications.
  • Attending management and leadership meetings and education training when scheduled.
  • Works closely with marketing to achieve sales and cover goals.
  • Assist and maintain floor plans and OpenTable details.
  • Ability to manage and supervise multiple teams at the same time.
  • Understands and appreciates excellence in food, beverage, and hospitality.

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hospitality experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook 365 and Excel


Physical Demands

  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Required to walk often and stand for long periods of time.
  • Required to use hands to hold, carry, handle or feel.
  • Required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to talk and hear.
  • Occasionally required to bend, lift or climb.
  • Often required to lift moderate weights (25-50 pounds).
  • Occasionally required to lift heavy weights (50 pounds or greater).
  • Finger dexterity required.
  • Hand coordination required.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.


Working Conditions

  • Late nights and weekends required.
  • 12 hour shifts required.
